Alisha Brookes
Head of Maths Department (Juniors)
Hello, my name is Alisha Brookes and this will be my second-year teaching at Metropole. I am very excited to be Head of Maths for the Junior School and working as a part of an excellent team in Year Five again.
I completed a Bachelor of Honors at the University of Worcester, England, specialising in Dance and Community Practice. Following this, I went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education, with PE specialism, at the University of Worcester, England.
In our classroom, I aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported. I believe in the power of positivity, encouragement, and a good dose of fun! Whether we're diving into a new math concept, exploring the wonders of science, or getting lost in the pages of a great book, I'm here to guide my students every step of the way.
I believe parent relationships are an important part of our classroom community! I believe that when we work together, amazing things can happen. Throughout the year, I'll keep you updated on what we're learning, upcoming events, and how you can support your child at home. I'm always here to answer any questions or concerns you may have because your involvement makes a big difference in your child's education. I have a passion for helping all children reach their full potential and love to challenge students to be curious and take chances when learning.
