Melissa Jones
Head of Year 3
My name is Melissa Jones and it is a pleasure to introduce myself to you. This will be my fifth year teaching in Dubai at GEMS Metropole. I have previously taught in Year 2 and Year 4 at GEMS Metropole, and look forward to continuing in Year 3 this year, as the Head of Year. I have many years of experience working in a variety of childcare and educational settings, with children of all ages. I have a BA (Hons) Children, Schools and Families and a Primary PGCE for children aged 5- 11 years. In addition to UK and UAE experience, I have also voluntarily taught English as an additional language to children in Bali.
I aim to use my extensive knowledge and experience to ensure your child thrives to their fullest potential. I have a passion for working with children and young people and I love to ensure my lessons are fun, creative and memorable for the children in my class. However, I adhere to keeping my expectations high to develop each child to become independent, well-mannered individuals that have the potential and mindset to become whatever they desire! I am looking forward to the year ahead as I know it will be filled with amazing learning opportunities for your children.
