"When the time came for me to apply to university, I was not stressed about my application, but due to the usual pressure a Sixth Form student would be around, you can’t escape that stress at that time. I remember applying to many different colleges in many countries, but I always knew that in the end that NYU Abu Dhabi was my first option no matter what.
University is a transformative period in many people's lives. It is a time when you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge, develop new skills, meet new people, and explore new interests. University is also a time when you will face challenges and make mistakes, but these experiences can be valuable learning opportunities.
In NYUAD, I had the chance to learn from world-renowned professors and researchers, engage in cutting-edge research and scholarship, and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. NYUAD has also provided opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery, as I navigate my way through new experiences, make new friends, and develop my sense of identity. As a person double majoring in Physics and Mathematics in this university, I have learned the proper ways of analyzing and developed a skill for research. I am currently working on an astrophysics research project while being an undergrad. Also, I have taken up a part-time job, something I advise everyone to do because it teaches you discipline and how to operate in a work environment.
University life can be busy and demanding, with a rigorous academic workload and a range of extracurricular activities and social events. It is important to find a balance between academic work and personal interests, and to prioritize self-care and well-being. I am thankful for the support I received during my time at GEMS Metropole. The Sixth Form team was there throughout the way to see that I achieved my goals.
Overall, university can be a rewarding and enriching experience, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to succeed in your future career and personal life".

Hey everyone!
I'm Esha Charles, a Business Technology Management Co-op student at the vibrant Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). I can't express enough how privileged I feel to be a proud alumna of Gems Metropole, and I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to my school for its unwavering support, which has truly paved the way for my success!
My journey at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) has been an exhilarating ride, immersing me in the amazing energy of downtown Toronto. Being right in the heart of one of Canada's largest cities has been an absolute thrill. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I've had the incredible opportunity to undertake a multitude of projects, with one standout experience being my role as the President of TEDxTorontoMetU. TEDxTorontoMetU is affiliated with the renowned TEDx organization and our university. I lead a talented team of 35 dynamic undergraduate students, where we orchestrated awe-inspiring events and a two-day conference. Our engaging panels, thrilling activities, networking sessions, and captivating live TED talks have been shared with an astounding audience of over 30 million subscribers on the official TEDx YouTube channel. It's been an absolute honour to be part of this journey where we were given an award by the university for having the best professional/academic event for the school, and it undoubtedly ranks among the most cherished moments of my undergraduate experience.
Another highlight worth mentioning is my time as an intern at HP, where I served as a Consumer Sales Business Analyst. This opportunity allowed me to dive deep into the professional realm and gain invaluable hands-on experience. With my degree program offering five semesters of work terms, I had the privilege of exploring positions across Canada, delving into industries I'm genuinely passionate about. These experiences have equipped me with the essential tools necessary to thrive in the dynamic world of business.
I can confidently say that GEMS Metropole has provided me with an education that extends far beyond the classroom. It has shaped me into a capable professional, ready to conquer the challenges of the modern professional landscape. Each moment, from the heart-pounding excitement of downtown Toronto to the inspiring initiatives I've spearheaded, has contributed to an invaluable tapestry of growth and achievement. I'm thrilled to continue on this exhilarating journey, fueled by the foundations laid by my alma mater!

I moved to Dubai in January 2015, it was a different place, in a different environment with different people. The first day of school was extremely nerve racking and all I wanted was to go back. Little to my knowledge, for the next six and a half years, this school would become a place I would make thousands of memories, meet lifelong friends, develop myself as an individual and pave a path for my future. The number of experiences and opportunities I was offered during the course of my education are uncountable and were part of the reason I will always treasure my years at this school. From offering a countless number of inner school programs including numerous sports and leadership programs to Model United Nations, TED Talks at corporate events, the Duke of Edinburgh, invitations to many exclusive events and high-end trips across the UAE including an international trip to London just to name a few. As I made my way to sixth form, I was given the necessary resources and guidance to be able to adapt to the high-pressure environment enabling success both individually and academically. Outside of academics, I was also given more opportunities to explore different career and university interests as well as taking on leadership roles which would help build my character. As our counselors and teachers worked very closely with us, they knew I wanted to pursue medicine and assisted me in every way possible for me to be able to achieve this goal. Even in medical school abroad with a lot more freedom, I will still always look back at school as some of the best years of my life.
