Ebony Thompson

My name is Ebony Thompson and I grew up in the North East of England, in the city of Durham. I joined MTS halfway through the 2025/26 academic year and feel incredibly proud to be part of such an amazing PE team.

I studied a Post Graduate Degree in Primary Education at Leeds Beckett University, which gave me a strong foundation in teaching and learning and continues to shape my approach both in the classroom and on the field.

I’m an ambitious and creative professional with a background in football and education. I bring energy and a commitment to excellence to everything I do, with a particular focus on building positive habits, motivating individuals and creating environments where young people feel empowered to unlock their potential.

Three years ago, I made the move to Dubai, initially working as Head of Girls at a football academy. This experience strengthened my passion for developing young players and, more importantly, creating environments where young people can grow in confidence, belief and resilience.

For me, PE is about much more than sport. It is about inspiring young people, building habits that will stay with them, helping them discover what they are capable of and giving them the confidence to take opportunities. I’m excited to continue growing at MTS and, most importantly, to play a part in helping every student believe in themselves and their potential.
