Vanessa White

My name is Ms. White, and I am eagerly anticipating the start of my fourth year at Gems Metropole School this September. I have a deep passion for teaching languages, and I have been fortunate to teach both Primary and Secondary students. For the past two years, I have also had the privilege of leading secondary school leadership students. This year, my role will evolve as I take on the position of Head of Year 7, in addition to continuing to teach French and Spanish. I am truly excited about this new challenge. 
 
I hail from Metz, a charming town in France located near the borders of Germany and Luxembourg. My journey in education began when I moved to Wales after completing my English studies. There, I served as a French assistant and later graduated from Cardiff University with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. 

My career as a French and Spanish teacher has been incredibly rewarding, and I had the honor of serving as Head of Year for eight years. 
In addition to my love for languages, I have a strong passion for science and mathematics, which I have had the pleasure of teaching at the Key Stage 3 level. 

As a joyful, enthusiastic, and dedicated teacher, I strive to impart my love for languages through engaging and creative lessons. My goal is to help students feel comfortable and confident in communicating in a new language. There is nothing more gratifying than hearing my students greet me in various languages. 
 
I am committed to making my lessons enjoyable and culturally enriching, allowing students to immerse themselves in the language and its cultural context. Witnessing my students grow and thrive in my classroom brings me immense joy. I look forward to meeting all of you and embarking on this exciting educational journey together.
