Mohamed Ghanchi

Assistant Headteacher of Secondary

Mohamed Ghanchi is originally from Leicester, UK, and joins the team as an Assistant Headteacher. He brings with him ten years of teaching experience across both the UK and the UAE.

Mohamed holds a Law degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), both from the University of Leicester. He has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) through University College London and is currently studying for a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at Queen Margaret University.

Throughout his career, Mohamed has progressed from classroom teaching into a range of leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department, and Head of Key Stage 3. These positions have provided him with eight years of leadership experience, during which he has focused on raising standards, supporting colleagues, and improving outcomes for students.

Mohamed's teaching philosophy is simple: to be the teacher he would want for his own children. This principle underpins every decision he makes as both an educator and a leader. He believes that effective leadership is measured by the success of those around him and is committed to helping both students and colleagues reach their full potential. Guided by the philosophy of Kaizen—continuous improvement—he strives to become better every day.

He is inspired by Albert Einstein's belief that every child possesses unique talents and strengths. Mohamed believes that the role of parents and educators is to identify each child's potential and provide the guidance, opportunities, and support they need to flourish. For him, this is the essence of outstanding education.

Outside of school, Mohamed is a devoted husband and father of three children—two boys and a girl—and comes from a family of educators. He is an enthusiastic reader who enjoys balancing fiction with professional learning by reading two books at a time. In his spare time, he also runs an e-commerce business, hosts a parenting podcast, and enjoys football, padel, anime, and gaming.
