Safae Drissi
Head of ICT & Computing
My name is Safae Drissi, and I am excited to continue my journey as an educator, bringing my passion for technology and education to inspire the next generation of learners.
My professional journey began in 2006 when I earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science, equipping me with both the theoretical principles and practical applications of the field. Driven by a desire to make a difference in students’ lives, I pursued a PGCE at Sunderland University to refine my teaching expertise and broaden my impact.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working across various curricula, including the National Curriculum of England, the US Common Core State Standards, the Montessori, and the IB. Since joining GEMS Metropole in 2019, I have enjoyed working with a vibrant and diverse school community, and I am proud to serve as Head of Department guiding both students and colleagues to excel.
My ability to adapt to different educational frameworks, combined with my experience teaching in diverse locations such as France, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, has enriched my cultural understanding and shaped my approach to education.
As Head of Technology, I focus on integrating innovative tools into classrooms, creating dynamic environments where students feel empowered to explore and thrive. My passion for technology is matched by my dedication to my students’ growth, as I continually challenge them to reach their full potential and take pride in their achievements.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with loved ones, and contributing to the community. I believe in the transformative power of education and technology and am dedicated to helping learners embrace opportunities and achieve success.
I believe education and technology hold limitless possibilities, and I am committed to inspiring and empowering learners to embrace these opportunities and realise their potential.
