SEN Support Teacher (Year 5 and Year 6)
I began my teaching journey in 2015 after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University. I spent four years teaching Year 5 at a diverse inner-city school in the UK, where I developed a passion for creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
In 2019, I joined GEMS Metropole and am now looking forward to entering my fourth year at this amazing school. During my time here, I have been committed to supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of all students, and I am excited to continue doing so in a new capacity.
Alongside teaching, I completed a Master’s in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. This has strengthened my ability to understand and respond to the individual needs of children, and I am now thrilled to be joining the Inclusion Department. In this new role, I look forward to applying my psychology knowledge to support students and ensure they receive the best possible educational experience.
Outside of school, I enjoy staying active and being part of a competitive cheerleading group—a passion sparked by my background in gymnastics. I also love spending time with friends and family, and I travel as often as I can, especially to Jamaica in the summers, where my family originate from.I feel incredibly proud to be part of the GEMS Metropole community and am committed to continuing to give 100% to the students I support. I believe inworking closely with parents, and my door is always open to discuss any thoughts or concerns you may have about your child and their learning.
