Brendan Eveleigh

Assistant Headteacher of Primary
 

Brendan Eveleigh is entering his 10th year at GEMS Metropole School and brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Primary Assistant Headteacher. Brendan started his teaching career in Cardiff in 2011, teaching at several primary and secondary schools before relocating to Dubai with his wife in 2015. Since joining Metropole, Brendan has diligently developed the Modern Foreign Language Department and spearheaded Student Leadership across the school.

Prior to moving to Dubai, Brendan graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2005 and began his working life as a swimming pool technician in the South of France. Following this, he then started up his own Aerial Photography Business, contracting flights over luxurious rural properties in the United Kingdom. After returning to Education, he pursued a Post Graduate Certificate of Education qualification at Swansea Metropolitan University where he achieved the Ede and Revenscroft Award for Academic Excellence. This qualification was followed by an additional Post Graduate course in Educational Practice at Cardiff University (PGCertEd). Most recently, Brendan completed his National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

Brendan has proven to be devoted to both his profession and to the school, and he prides himself on fostering a positive culture at every level. He now looks forwards to working closely with an experienced team of teachers to further enhance Metropole School.
