Melissa Rhule
Secondary PE Coordinator
My name is Melissa Rhule, and I am excited to be entering my third year at GEMS Metropole as part of the Physical Education Department. I am proud to be continuing in my role as Head of Secondary Core PE Curriculum for a second year, where I remain committed to embedding high standards, promoting quality teaching, and fostering a culture of excellence within PE.
Throughout my career, I have enjoyed serving as an Assistant Head of Sixth Form and leading a wide range of extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities—something I look forward to continuing at GEMS.
I hold a BSc in Applied Sport Science and received my PE teaching qualification from Loughborough University in 2019. Over the past five years, I have taught PE at both GCSE and A Level, alongside a second subject.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing netball, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family.
I believe every student should have the opportunity to thrive and become the best version of themselves. By creating an environment that develops the whole student through physical fitness, knowledge, communication, teamwork, and resilience we can help them succeed both in and beyond the classroom.
Nurturing and empowering young people to fulfil their potential is what inspires me as a teacher, and I’m excited to continue this journey at GEMS Metropole.
